We have owned Ruffian for 15 years and have sailed along the South coast, to the West Country and many crossings to The Channel Islands and North Brittany. She is in lovely sail away condition with many extras including cockpit tent, electric windlass, heating, holding tank.We have continually updated her with new windows and hatches, new tech teak cockpit seats and sole. Raymarine chartplotter, radar and AIS. DSC radio all on binnacle. Jib and fully battened main with ball bearing cars, cleaned and serviced 2024. Volvo 2020 18hp shaft drive with Darglo feathering prop.

The galley has an ENO 2 burner gas stove with oven - gas check and certificate 2024. 12 volt fridge serviced and gassed 2024. Marcooni diesel heating with outlet in heads and saloon. Jabsco freshwater filter fitted under sink. Chart table with instrumentation and switchboard. Heads- Jabsco WC new pipework and manual pump. Handbasin with pull out shower head. Holding tank with diverter valve and electric pump out.

Construction

GRP hull and decks. Cockpit floor and seats finished in Tek Teak 2023. All windows and hatches replaced 2020. The hull has been anti-fouled and polished ready for the 2025 season.

Two domestic and 1 engine battery. Galvanic isolator and shore power cable. Electric windlass 2022 with Kobra anchor, 25 metres calibrated chain 2022 and 25 metres of spliced anchor rope. Electric bilge pump and shower pump plus manual bilge pump.
Spray hood and full cockpit tent with fitted cockpit cushions all round. Binnacle cover. Teak cockpit table.
3 Lewmar winches with lines back to cockpit.
6 fenders and mooring lines and shore lines.

Navigation Equipment

Binnacle - plastimo compass, B&G wind, speed and depth. Auto helm replaced 2012. GPS repeater from chart table. Raymarine C80 chartplotter with radar and AIS. Icom DSC radio at the chart table with command mic on binnacle.
Chart table and switchboard with Garmin 128 GPS, Weatherman, battery monitor and Sony radio with speakers in saloon and cockpit.

Engine(s)

Volvo 2020 18hp diesel. Shaft drive fitted with Darglo 3 blade feathering prop. Freshwater cooled pressurised hot and cold water with calorifier and immersion heater. Approx engine hours 1287. Stern gland, cutlass bearing and rudder bearing replaced Dec 2024. Engine serviced Dec 24 ready for the 2025 season.

Aluminium mast and boom with stack pack, lazy jacks and single line reefing. Fully battened main with ball bearing cars Quay sails 2009. Genoa Quay sails 2019 both professionally serviced and cleaned 2024. Rigging replaced 2015, checked and tuned 2021. Radar reflector and Raymarine Radome.

Safety Equipment

2 fire extinguishers and fire blanket. Horseshoe plus throwing line. 4 man Life raft in valise purchased June 2023.
