Description

"Moon Dancer" is a super example of these popular lifting keel family boats. She is well maintained and has recent sails 2017, a recent engine Volvo Penta 2010 and good electronics. Her 6 berth interior is comfortable and well presented, she has a separate heads and hot air heating too, her owner has based her in Christchurch with the possibility of a mooring transfer (stored ashore in winter). A full survey was carried out in 2022 and is available on request and her standing rigging was renewed in 2013. The lifting keel is very popular as it gives her a draft of only 0.66m, perfect for the Solent! She can also dry out if needed so ideal for creek crawling too.

Built in 1989 construction with swing keel and twin rudders, self draining aft cockpit
with tiller steering, 9/10 fractional sloop rig, her interior has six berths (5 adult 1 child) in
two cabins plus saloon.

SAILS and RIG:
Slab reefing mainsail (new 2017 in high quality cloth) with blue mainsail cover. Rotostay
genoa roller reefing system with furling No 1 Genoa (new 2017 in high quality cloth).
Spinnaker (fair) and cruising chute (excellent). Alloy mast and boom. Her stainless steel
standing rigging was renewed in 2013. Most lined led aft to cockpit.

ENGINE:
Volvo Penta D1-20 twin cylinder 19hp inboard diesel engine (installed new in 2010).
Engine is currently laid up. Approx 60 litre fuel tank. Less than 500 miles

ELECTRICS:
Alternator charging to 2 x 12v batteries (stored ashore over winter and fully charged).

DECK GEAR:
Stainless steel pushpit, pulpit and guardwires, blue sprayhood , spinnaker pole (2011), 2 x
Lewmar 24 sheet winches, 2 x Lewmar 8 halyard winches on coachroof, Lewmar 6 reefing

DOMESTIC EQUIPMENT:
Her galley has a Plastimo Atlantic gas cooker with 2 burners, oven and grill, insulated coolbox, stainless steel sink with pressurised cold water supply from 80 litre water tank. Her separate heads compartment has a Jabsco marine toilet
and wash basin with storage cupboards. Fabric upholstery renewed in 2011.

ACCOMMODATION:
5 adult berths including a double berth in the aft cabin with storage locker, a double berth
in the forward cabin again storage and a single settee berth in the saloon. She has a child
settee berth opposite. Folding doors to forward berths and fixed doors to aft cabin and
heads.
